The headline is simple: November to April is the season on the south coast. The monsoon has passed, the swell cleans up, the ocean settles for swimming and whale-watching, and the mornings turn reliably bright.
Month by month
December to March is the peak — driest skies, best surf, prime whale season. November and April are lovely shoulder months: a touch greener, a little quieter, often excellent value. Note our peak window (20 Dec–15 Jan) carries a special rate and policy.
The other half of the year
From May to October the weather shifts and the surf crowd migrates to the east coast — but the south still has bright spells, fewer visitors, and a lush, washed-green beauty all its own. Open-water swimming, too, follows the seasons between coasts.
