Who we are

This website is operated for Trebartha East — The Round House by Cinnamon Plantations Estates West (Pvt) Ltd (company registration no. 1505578), Ahangama, Sri Lanka, the data controller for this notice. Texaco Limited acts as marketing & booking agent. For any data protection query, contact info@trebartha-east.com.

What we collect

When you use our contact, booking-enquiry or residents'-offer forms we collect the name, email, dates and message you provide, solely to respond to your enquiry.

We do not collect payment details on this website.

Booking via Cloudbeds

Clicking a booking button hands you off to Cloudbeds, our booking engine partner, where you complete your reservation. Cloudbeds processes that data under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read before booking.

Hosting & analytics

This site is hosted on Netlify. With your consent (see our Cookie Policy), we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the site is used. Analytics events never include your name, email, message or exact stay dates.

Non-essential analytics only runs after you accept cookies, and you can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Retention

Enquiry and guest data you send us (contact, booking-enquiry and residents'-offer forms) is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, on the basis that processing is necessary to respond to your enquiry and, where a stay follows, to perform that booking contract (legitimate interest and contract).

Analytics data (Google Analytics) is collected only with your cookie consent and is retained for 14 months, per Google's default retention setting, after which it is automatically deleted.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you by emailing info@trebartha-east.com. As a Sri Lankan business serving guests worldwide, we handle your data under Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022, and apply the same standards of care to guests from the UK and EU consistent with the UK and EU GDPR. We aim to respond to any request within 30 days.
